Ben Rathbone is a fulltime fourth year student at the School of Representational Art in Chicago, Illinois. The School of Representational Art provides a highly integrated cirriculum of training that replicates the Atelier method of art instruction modeled after the academic painting schools of 19th century Europe.

Ben has also previously studied at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, the Palette and Chisel Academy in Chicago, and the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia.

Prior to engaging in the full time study of art, Ben worked in Information Technology. He worked for Google from the summer of 2003 to 2007, which included a management position in Canada from 2005 to 2007. He also worked for UUNET, the world's first commercial internet service provider from 1997 to 2000.

Ben has a Bachelors of Individualized Studies from George Mason University with a concentration in Classical studies. He lives with his wife in Chicago, Illinois.
